EE 4G service comes to London black cabs

Londoners and London events can now enjoy free superfast mobile broadband.
EE’s superfast mobile broadband would now be available free in selected black cabs around London and UK.

No longer a black cab as the internet-ready taxis would now be coated in the turquoise hues associated with the Orange and T-Mobile merger,.

EE plans to equip about 50 of the vehicles with the technology around in London for Londoner, and a further 10 will be in operation around UK and our source thinks it is Birmingham or Manchester.

"The first motorized black cabs hit the streets in 1900’s, about 90 years before the first smart mobile phone was available to UK consumers, now we are bringing this icon of British transport into the 21st century with a 4G makeover," said EE's director of brand Spencer McHugh.

"We hope this trial will demonstrate the benefits of a superior online experience as users can browse, download, catch up on emails, Tweet and check Facebook literally at the speed of light. We can't make taxi journeys any faster but we can certainly speed up people's smart Mobile phones."

Chargezone which is the leading mobile phone charging station in UK is also currently rolling out free mobile phone charging stations around London and the UK supported by advertising.

EE will be running its trial for the next three months and hopefully till the end of 2013.
