Watch out for the Best 5 New Smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2012!!!!

Image
Best 5 New Smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2012   HTC One X Quad-core Android phones and high-quality camera phones are two major themes at this year's MWC, and the HTC One X brings those two concepts together elegantly. Rather than just blowing out specs, HTC is focusing on finish, feel, and quality, from the eye-popping Super LCD 2 screen to the mega-fast HDR camera enabled by a new image chip. The One X even uses both flagship processors shown off at the show—Nvidia's Tegra 3 in most countries, and Qualcomm's S4 in its AT&T version. It can be a bit too large for some with its 4.7-inch screen, but we think it just might be Android's hero product of the year. Nokia PureView 808 It's rare that you see a surprise, brand-new technology at one of these shows, but Nokia's true 41-megapixel PureView 808 cameraphone is blowing everyone away. The huge sensor lets you zoom after the fact, enables gorgeous, noise-free images at lower

6 smartest smartphones and if you still haven't got one ????

What Phone have you got? The competition at the top end of the smartphone market is so tight! Expanded screens and ever-more powerful dual-core processors are now the norm but it’s not just the hardware that’s got its mojo rising, of course… The Nokia Lumia sports Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, the iPhone 4S has iOS 5, RIM proffers BlackBerry OS 7 and Android handsets will soon start employing Ice Cream Sandwich, the most significant new version since Android launched. The software is the power behind the throne in smartphone land, but which combination of hardware and OS currently rules all? HTC Titan For a phone of such titanic proportions, with a mighty 4.7-inch “Super LCD” screen, the HTC Titan doesn’t feel cumbersome, and the screen’s excellent contrast ratio makes for tasty viewing, whether it’s video, photos or the worldwide web. The 1.5GH z Snapdragon processor keeps lag firmly at bay. The big news here, though, is that Titan runs Windows P

Is Nokia back on track with this or just another hype?

Image
Is Nokia now back on track  ? Nokia believes it is set to return to being a leading player in the smartphone world following a strong reception to its Asha and Lumia family of devices, according to the Finnish handset maker. Alongside touting the company's return to form, Nokia introduced the Lumia 610 and the camera-centric Nokia 808 PureView smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2012 on Monday. The new Lumia adds a cheaper model to Nokia's Windows Phone OS-based line-up and provides a new entry point to Nokia's ranges. "One year ago we said we would switch our strategy for smart devices to Windows Phone, we said we would connect one billion people to the internet using our mobile phones, and we would focus on key differentiators," Stephen Elop, chief executive of Nokia, told the MWC audience in Barcelona. Elop delivered a damning assessment of the Finnish handset maker a year ago in a leaked memo, saying the once-dominant company had fallen "years

Why 41-megapixel camera - Is it a smartphone or stupid-phone ?

Image
Is this a Smartphone or Stupidphone? A 41-megapixel Nokia smartphone was among the new technology on show during the opening day of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The 808 Pureview offers enhanced low-light performance as well as sophisticated image compression designed to help users share pictures. Nokia hopes to regain ground lost to Google and Apple in the mobile market. However, some have criticised Nokia's decision to use its own operating system, Symbian, on the device. Nokia's other smartphones typically run on Microsoft's Windows Phone software. Symbian, which first appeared on Nokia phones in the 90s, is widely regarded as inferior to the app and social media-driven Windows Phone system. "The Pureview 808's Symbian Belle operating system might detract from its appeal to a broader market, where it deserves recognition," said Tony Cripps, a principal analyst with Ovum. "It's a pity that Nokia was unable to combine the photogra

Why Your Company Must Keep an Eye on the Mobile World Congress 2012!!

Yes it starts today, expect plenty of mobile news including scores of new phones and tablets. Here's what to expect: The year's grandest smorgasbord of mobile technology is upon us once more. On Sunday, Mobile World Congress will begin in Barcelona, Spain, bringing with it a non-stop parade of quad-core phones, 4G networks, and new operating systems. MWC will set the stage for mobile tech in 2012, showing you many of the handheld gadgets you'll want for the next several months. PCMag will be at the show covering as many gadgets as we possibly can, transit strike or not. Plenty of MWC speculation has already leaked out onto the Web, though. I'll try to round it up here, but remember, the companies involved can always change their minds at the last minute. Acer  British phone site Pocket-Lint has the word on the Acer CloudMobile, an Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered phone with a 4.3-inch display and Dolby sound. The phone's name suggests it will come with

It features a 5MP camera, and runs Google’s Android 2.3 software on a 1.0GHz dual-core processor. Sony completes takeover of Sony Ericsson, renames it Sony Mobile. Chargezone.co.uk believes this is a strategic move by Sony Mobile. Sony's takeover of Sony Ericsson is now complete and the smartphone maker has a new name -- Sony Mobile Communications. But make no mistake, you'll be seeing simply "Sony" on smartphones from the company going forward. Sony Corp. in Japan announced the finalization of the takeover of the company, which started as joint venture between tech giants Sony and Ericsson in 2001, on Wednesday, thus bringing to a close a deal announced in October. Sony purchased Ericsson's half of the joint venture for about $1.5 billion. Sony and Ericsson will also cross-license five essential patent families relating to wireless handset technology as a part of its takeover deal. Sony Mobile Communications is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony, which said in a statement that plans are to "further integrate the mobile phone business

Why should Barclays launch Pingit mobile payment service for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry

Image
Pingit What? Barclays Bank has announced the launch of a new smartphone application that allows iPhone, Android and BlackBerry users to transfer money using just a mobile number in the latest development in the mobile payment market. The service, called Pingit, will at first only be available to Barclays' current account customers but the firm said a second version of the application to be launched in March will allow customers with any bank to use the service. The bank said the service will be free for all users and works by linking a phone number to a current account, with the security of the application provided by a five-digit pin that users enter before making a payment. The minimum payment that can be made is £1, up to a maximum of £300, and there is a £300 total daily send limit and a £5,000 total daily receive limit. Barclays retail and business banking chief executive, Antony Jenkins, said the service could "revolutionise the way people send and rece
