iPhone smartphone crashes again over ‘iPhone prank video’

iPhone 6s, iPhone 7s and 7Plus smartphone crashes again over ‘iPhone prank video’

New iPhone device crash bug can be solved with a forced reboot or it would be rendered useless. The prank video that crashes your phone is from the Sina Weibo-backed video sharing app Miaopai.

This iPhone crash prank video that when watched slows down any iPhone device until it crashes.

It is being used as the latest iPhone crash prank and the prank video from the Sina Weibo-backed video sharing app Miaopai may play normally in your iPhone’s video player.

How the iPhone prank Video works
Once the prank video from the Sina Weibo-backed video sharing app Miaopai reaches the end of the video then it can take up to a minute for the iPhone to lock up, requiring a forced reboot to recover it.

Majority of iPhone users in the United Kingdom and with Europe are unaware anything has happened and would continue using their smartphone until it crashes and the following would take place:

·       It would not turn back on or locks up in an app
·       The home screen or with a spinning loading logo on a black screen.

The iPhone crash bug, which appears to involve the media handling functions of iOS, affects versions of the operating system as far back as iOS 5 and devices from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 7.

The older the iPhone then the faster the lockup occurs following the crash bug.
The lockup is not permanent and it can be solved by a soft reset or forced reboot to recover the functionality of the iPhone.

If you have the iPhone 6,  the  iPhone 7 or the  iPhone 7 Plus users will need to hold down the power and down volume buttons until they see the Apple logo. On the iPhone 6S, 6S Plus or older Apple smartphones, users need to hold down the power and home buttons until they see the Apple logo.

Also following the iPhones reboot, everything appears to function as normal and your iPhone would work fine.
