iPhone battery: New battery life problems for iPhone 7

In UK and Europe, majority of Apple iPhone 7 are currently suffering from terrible and poor battery life.

You can use a mobile phone charging station to recharge on the go however, do not panic because you are not alone.

iPhone 5, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s plus and iPhone 7  users in UK and Europe have reported issues with iOS 10.1.1 that causes the phone to die suddenly  with as much as 30% battery juice still left on the iPhone.

To avoid hacking and for iPhone security, we normally recommend keeping your iPhone up-to-date with the latest software update.
However iPhone users have noticed battery life faults with the new version of Apple's mobile operating system iOS.
Due to the problem, multiple devices running iOS 10.1.1 are purportedly shutting down spontaneously with as much as 30-50% battery life remaining which because very annoying.

As a result, iPhone users have expressed their dissatisfaction on a thread on Apple's own forum site runs to 16 pages of replies and complaints.

On the thread, an iPhone user said using the online pseudonym Mjolcresure, posted: "Updated my iPhone 5 to iOS10.1 and have been having battery problems.
"1 - It jumps from 30% charge to 1% in a few seconds then shuts down. Now here is the stranger part.
"As soon as it reboots after connecting to a charger it show 30% charge. When I unplug it right away it still shows 30% and runs like nothing happened for a good few hours.
"So it goes from zero charge to 30% in the time it takes to reboot? Strange.
"2 - Shutting the phone down at night with a good 80% charge, it won't reboot in the morning due to no battery charge. I plug it in and its back to 30% in a few seconds."

And you're also likely to be installing a lot more updates from the App Store.
But even if you haven't touched your phone since the iOS update, it's probably still draining faster than usual.
That's because your smartphone will be re-indexing your data.
From contacts to app data, everything that can be searched using Spotlight on the iPhone needs to be re-categorised and sorted by the operating system.
However that is unlikely to be reason for the battery life drain reported in iOS 10.1.1, which is a much smaller update.

The latest beta for iOS 10.2 is due this week however the release notes does not include poor battery life.
After revewi the update, we found it  includes a range of new emojis, including clown face, drooling face, face palm, fox face, owl, shark, butterfly, avocado, and more.
Also included are new emoji emoticons, iOS 10.2 includes redesigned wallpaper, new options to sort your Music and buttons for Repeat and Shuffle.
