Why Teenagers with smart phones and tablets  'have more sex ??








The Study by researchers from the University of Southern California found the following:
  • Teenagers with constant internet access via their smartphones have more sex than those without a mobile phone
 
  • Teenagers with smartphones are twice as likely to have sex with a person they met online or social media like Facebook, twitter etc.
 
  •  17 per cent Of almost 2,000 high school teenage students surveyed had been approached for sex online and Five percent said they used the internet to seek sex partners


Parents have come up with clever strategies to monitor the online behaviour of their children on computers, they may also needed to take account of the internet access provided by a smartphone.


Researcher Eric Rice, from the university's School of Social Work, said that while smartphones do not directly cause teenagers to engage in potentially risky sexual behaviour, they do make it easy.

The study involved about 1,840 high-school students in the Los Angeles Unified School District who were surveyed in the 2010 to 2011 school year.
